Phosphenes

This short animation explores the phenomenon of phosphenes, those fleeting visual patterns we see with closed eyes. Created entirely in After Effects using sourced footage and PNGs, each element was carefully animated to evoke the light and motion of ephemeral memories. Through abstract imagery and layered textures, the piece reflects on how light shapes our perception of memory, even in darkness.
